silver box,
it is able to speak any language,
perform any play,
inform you about the weather anywhere on the globe,
report on what has happened in the world while you have been absent,
perform any type of music,
pass coded messages between spies,
its accomplishments are endless.
The central notion for which N:Q revolves is the Radio,
its use / its extensions, / its culture /......its possibilities.
Although N:Q performs in regular concert halls, its very first (radio-phonic
version) performance was in a garden, reflecting our interest in the
unique
opportunities offered by unusual environments, temperatures,
humilities, luminosity,
acoustics, relationships, between people,
and the use of the radio as an instrument of performance,
poised in some twilight zone placed between
installations /performance / environment
Platonic in its reaching for the music of the spheres,
Radios sucking in waves transformed into music."
